The simple things of life that bring joy

We can have joy no matter what happens,
because joy stems from the core of our being – it is a gift.

Rhubarb shoots

For me, joy can come in little ways

The first green shouts of spring

Seeing a friendly face

A chaffinch bathing in the gutters of my studio

Seeing a new kind of butterfly

Sharing my adventures

A great tit impressing his new partner with a worm

Sharing a laugh

Ants living in a dinky toy car in my garden

A had written letter in the post

The song of a blackbird on the roof

Watching my cat licking the last out of a yogurt tub

The scent of a wallflower

An invitation for lunch

A blue tit remodelling a bird nest

A creative project going well

The arrival of the swallows

A good book

The garden smiling after heavy rain

Silence

I love that your garden smiles after heavy rain. :)

:-) I suppose in dry Australia that would be wonder?

Well certainly all of yours are wonderful! Blue tits on the feeder by my window, my dog gazing into my eyes, seeing the rich dark purple crocusses pushing up in the tub by the front door, oh, and the sliver of crescent moon last night, for a few.

Actually, in my part of Australia summer has ended and autumn has begun with quite a lot of rain, so the garden here is smiling in quite a waterlogged way. ;)
